It’s that time of the year again… Valentine’s Day. Some loathe it, some love it. Personally, it doesn’t really bother me (even though I’m single). It’s just another day for me, and even in past relationships we didn’t really celebrate it. I do, however, think it’s a super cute day for couple who do decide to celebrate it. On that note, I have a different post telling you guys my romantic date ideas for Valentine’s Day during Quarantine, if you are celebrating Valentine’s Day this year and would like some date inspiration! Anyway, back to the post at hand: non romantic Valentine’s ideas!
As I said above, Valentine’s Day can be difficult for some single people and can leave them feeling lonely, especially during lockdown/quarantine. I’m here to show you guys that it doesn’t have to be a doom and gloom day! You can treat it as any ordinary day, or you can use it as a day to practice some extra self care and self love. Or you can use it as a day to bond with your family, especially since we’re all stuck inside at the moment. So, without further ado, here are 3 non romantic Valentine’s ideas for single people:

Non romantic valentine’s ideas:
Have a Valentine’s pamper day/night
This is one of my favourite things to do on a normal day, especially during lockdown whilst I have more time. However, if you’re a key worker or you work at home, you may not be able to find the time to have a proper pamper sesh. Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to show yourself some love and appreciation by pampering yourself. Even just having a bath and wearing your fave pyjamas can leave you feeling so refreshed and cared for!
If you want to take the pampering a step further, I recommend The Body Shop exfoliating face mask* if you’re feeling boujee and want your skin to feel super rejuvenated and replenished, or The Body Shop Aloe Vera sheet mask* if you want to simply hydrate your skin and leave it looking super healthy and glowing. I love The Body Shop masks, but the 7th Heaven face masks* are amazing too and super affordable!

Do a non romantic Zoom quiz with your single friends
I know Zoom quizzes have kinda died out, but who’s to say you can’t bring them back for Valentine’s Day?! Zoom quizzes are so much fun, especially during lockdown when you have been stuck inside on your own for so long and need that human reaction from your friends. If you’re feeling lonely on Valentine’s Day, getting drunk withy our besties could be the perfect answer.
The quiz could have different round based on films, music, general knowledge and everything in-between. If you don’t want to do a Zoom quiz, you can always simply Facetime your friends and have a chilled night that way. Either way, you won’t be alone and will end up having a fun night with the people you love.
Watch a non romantic Valentine’s Chick Flick
You can’t feel down when watching a Chick Flick… You just can’t! This is probably my personal favourite out of my 3 non romantic Valentine’s Ideas, as I just love a good Chick Flick. The film I’d recommend the most has to be Bridget Jones’ Diary*, for reasons I probably don’t have to explain… It is the best film to watch a single gal as it’s so relatable (for most people, anyway) and definitely gives you a good laugh.
Of course many people have to work on Valentine’s Day, so ending the night with a pamper and then a good film will definitely leave you feeling relaxed and content. If you don’t fancy watching a film, you could always listen to a Podcast or read a book! I have a whole blog post telling you guys 5 books I enjoyed and would recommend for you to read, if you need some recommendations.
So, there we have it! My top 3 non romantic Valentine’s ideas for single people. This just goes to show that Valentine’s Day doesn’t have o be a miserable day for all single people – it can actually be a super cosy, relaxing and lovely day. Or, it can be a completely normal day that’s no different to usual! The choice is yours.
I love this!! I’ve literally just had a Body Shop order of sheet masks arrive – I love their vit c one – so think one of those will definitely be on the cards. Ooh the 7th Heaven face masks were actually the first ones I used and this has just reminded me that I wanted to get some more – thanks! Love these ideas and am definitely going to be having a self-care session near or on the day for sure. Great ideas – thanks for sharing!
I looove vitamin C sheet masks – especially the Pixi and The Body Shop ones! I love The Body Shop sheet masks and their clay masks, they’re so good at purifying the skin and keeping it clear. Thank you for your comment! x
